    Thank you for considering our virtual race this year in support of the International Association of Forensic Nurses Foundation! Join us and donate; race proceeds go towards nurse scholarships. 

    Scholarships send forensic nurses like April Brasher from Pelham, AL, to this year's annual educational conference. By racing and raising funds, you can support patients who have experienced violence/trauma. Race winners* will have the chance to win a scholarship to next year's conference. Come race with us and meet your personal fitness goals!

    All are invited, personal goals are encouraged. In addition to walking/running, 80+ activities like yoga, gardening, and swimming convert into miles/kilometers. Together, our activities will move "April" from her program in Pelham, AL to the front steps of the conference center in Disney Springs.

    Exercise anywhere you want. Then log the activity and see your avatar move across the route. Catch a Google Street View of the new virtual locale, then cheer your real fellow racers! Share your bib on social media! Brag about your streaks or longest mileage!

    We wish all of our scholarship winners could join us in person this year. As we all know, it has been a challenging year for so many. We are so lucky that we have one who is able to attend in person and has agreed to race us there!

    We've got racers all over the globe! So to keep everyone on the same page, we've come up with some handy guidelines:


    1. Watch this video of Racery pro tips.

    2. Complete your bio. Include #groups (i.e. #Tokyo in order to see other racers in Tokyo; or #13.1 to see other racers aiming to hit a 1/2 marathon) to better track friends or colleagues.

    3. Update your passcode in settings.

    4. Our race includes activity conversions, so to keep the playing field level, conversions are based on effort, ie 1 hour cycling = ~1 hour swimming = ~1 hour tennis. Please log cycling minutes, not miles.

    5. To delete a log, click its gear on the right.

    6. Don’t like one type of email? Unsubscribe at the bottom of that email.

    7. If you post on social media, please include #raceryapp so we can find you!

    8. We rely on the honor system. You don't have to use a device to prove your miles—a good map or watch suffices.

    9. Only log intentional exercise please.

    10. Attribute your exercise to the appropriate day—don't combine workouts from multiple days.

    11. Only backdate logs for a race up to two weeks in the past.

    12. Activities submitted after the race ends will not count toward race leaderboards.

    *Two registrations will be awarded as a result of this race: the individual who logs the furthest distance and the top fundraiser who shares and raises the most funds will each receive a free registration to next year's conference for themselves or on behalf of another individual. Winners have the option to be featured in subsequent races! If we get April to the conference quickly, we can even race someone else.
